How To Minimize Large PoresSkincare Solutions for Clogged Pores & Blackheads

How To Minimize Large PoresSkincare Solutions for Clogged Pores & Blackheads

Finally, today I'm touching on the most requested topic ever which is about Pores! How to minimize the enlarged pores or how to at least minimize the look of the pore, and how to deal with congested and clogged pores like blackheads and whiteheads I partnered up with the Pond's Institute to deliver more science-based, research-based, and more solution-based skincare tips for you guys, so let's get started. Three main causes of large pores The very first one being very, very, interestingly your skin sagging or losing its firmness. An easier way to understand this is to think about your bellybutton, and I know it sounds gross but this is the easiest analogy I can think of right now so consider your bellybutton as your pore on your surface of the skin. When you eat a lot your belly grows, right? [The] firmness and the plumpness of your belly is going to somewhat provide a cushion around your bellybutton making your bellybutton look smaller.

If you have a flatter belly, your bellybutton will look more obvious because there's simply no fat that's surrounding. So this is what's simply happening to our face as well it's no different, I promise you. Simply, the more mature our skin gets, it's going to lose its elasticity It's going to slow down in the collagen production and the elastin support that used to provide a really good cushion to hide the pores. So if you're over 30 and above, that's when you want to induce your collagen production with the help With Vitamin A derivatives like Retinol, Retinoic Acid, Retinoid Vitamin B3, like Niacinamide, Vitamin C.

Like L-Ascorbic Acid is a wonderful, wonderful active ingredient that can induce the collagen production. But if you're in your teens and your 20s I don't think it's necessary to incorporate these protein-active ingredients but what I demand you to do is to hydrate and moisturize really, really well and never neglect to do it because I know so many of you guys neglect moisturizing, neglect hydrating and keep drying their skin out because it seems like it's oily but the truth is, the drier your skin becomes the more visible your pores are going to look You just need more hydration and moisturization with good humectants, like Hyaluronic Acid, Glycerin, which is probably in a lot of products that you already use, so never neglect to moisturize. The second main cause is definitely the excessive sebum production. I have a full dedicated video on how to manage oily skin How to control the sebum production in a very healthy manner so definitely go check out that video I gave out a lot of useful tips that doesn't incorporating drying out your skin It's definitely something that will help your skin to find its own balance I know in summertime, a lot of you guys tend to get oilier including myself as well I mean the heat itself will raise the temperature of our skin speeding up the trans-epidermal water loss process meaning that your skin is losing the water content inside the skin and what your skin tends to do is that they want to balance that out they want to compensate the dehydration so they pump out more oil to compensate that So basically, in summertime you want to manage the heated skin like the temperature of your skin and keep it cool and chill.

Secondly, you want to take care of your dehydrated skin So green tea matcha cotton pad mask comes really, really handy Especially in summertime it's something that I really really love doing I simply saturate a  bunch of cotton pads with matcha Or green tea. You can use even green tea bags and just store it in the fridge it not only cools down the skin but green tea is naturally known for its very very amazing sebum regulating property Second thing that you can do is to store a sheet mask or store your toners or your essence in the fridge and then apply that, and to not only fix the dehydration but also regulate your sebum production Niacinamide AKA Vitamin B3 AKA my Holy Grail Ingredient is going to be a very wonderful superstar ingredient in your skincare game so something like Pond's Flawless White Day Cream that contains Niacinamide is not only going to help with you with hydrating, moisturizing your skin but it's also going to regulate the sebum production So moving on to the last main cause of large pores is definitely and obviously Congested Pore Problems so any kind of accumulated dirt or dead skin cells that build up inside the pore gland and any kind of traffic jam that's happening is going to physically enlarge the pores and also the bad habits like squeezing and picking on the pores or picking on the pimples will cause enlarged pores Before we jump into the solution I want to briefly touch on the FAQs about clogged pores and congested pores that I collected on my instagram so the very first question is "Does the steaming really open up the pores?" The heat is going to soften the hardened oil inside the pore tunnel so it's going to make it easier to extract the pore That's why a lot of estheticians will kind of warm up your skin a little bit before they do any kind of extractions That being said, "is blackhead extraction recommended?" This is such a tricky one to answer because I know regular extraction that's done professionally and correctly can do wonders in keeping your pore clear However in most cases at home, a lot of you guys try to squeeze it too hard, press it too hard damaging the skin cells, enlarging the pores just worsening the problem and you know, you might have a chance to get infected by bacterias. If you can visit a professional with this matter that will do wonders. "Are pore strips recommended?" (Sighs) I'm--I'm done guys.

I'm-- Solution for congested skin problem The basic step should be properly removing your makeup and I know it sounds really cliche but when I say "properly" I really really mean it because so many of you guys rely on makeup wipes and there's still makeup, dirts that are clogging your pores I find double cleansing methods to be the most effective way in removing the makeup but also the kindest way to respect your skin barrier function Use a dedicated makeup remover like cleansing oil, cleansing cream, cleansing balms Step number two is exfoliating regularly with BHA, AKA Salicylic Acid This is a chemical exfoliant that is oil soluble Now, don't let the chemical exfoliants scare you Don't let the name with acid scare you at all It's going to be way more gentle and more effective than the physical scrubs that you might be using right now Inside the pores, it's mainly oil so what it means is that BHA has an ability to penetrate and meet the oil and dissolve the oil and clean the pores if you use BHA probably two or three times a week with the strength of probably 2% is going to really help preventing the blackhead formation Step Number Three is using an absorbing ingredients such as Charcoal, Bentonite Clay Kaolin Clay and these are the ingredients that knows how to draw the impurities out of the pores However if you keep using it in a daily basis it does have a possibility to dry out your skin as well so finding a good hydrating clay mask is something that I would highly recommend you guys to do it Clay mask have better tends(?) To reach the pores than any kind of physical scrubs that you might use but it's not going to be as penetrating as chemical exfoliant such as Salicylic Acid so if you use BHA in conjunction with clay mask in a regular basis in your skincare routine I guarantee that you're going to prevent more stubborn blackheads from forming Step number four is Wearing less layers of makeup Especially in summertime your skin is already really Really oily and sweaty and when that's mixed up with your foundation More chance to clog your pores so in summertime probably wearing less makeup or opting for a foundation that you know it's not going to clog your pores is crucial Or go liberate your skin from foundation Just use sunscreen and a little bit of concealer That's something that I would do in summertime and that has been working immensely
in keeping my pores less congested Last step is to use sunscreen Deliberately and reapply it if you can I know a lot of you guys steer away from sunscreen because it seems like it's clogging your pores Just go through a little bit more trials and errors to find the right sunscreen Do not give up because UV light not only causes free radical damage giving your skin that oxidative stress it's going to cause inflammation it's going to break down the collagen meaning that your skin is going to mature easily Therefore it all drills down to the poor problems that I was talking about before it speeds up the lipid peroxidation it can make your sebum gloopier and oilier and it's going to have more chance of clogging the pores you can have more breakouts all because of the UV light if you have to take away one thing out of this entire video I would definitely say use more sunscreen Hope this video was helpful I will leave more articles or more references that you can read up on in the info box below as well as some product
recommendations so I hope you guys can check it out there and you are more than welcome to join this Palm Palm Fam by hitting that red subscribe button down below I'll speak to you guys on my instagram @aboutliahyoo Till then, stay healthy and happy! Bye!.

HOW TO GET GLASS SKINKOREAN SKIN ROUTINE

HOW TO GET GLASS SKINKOREAN SKIN ROUTINE

Today I'm going to show you how I achieve glass skin. If you want to see more in depth of my skincare routine, I will link my skincare routine video in the description bar. You can go check that out. Most of the products I still use and if anything has changed, I will introduce them in a little short footage.

I literally woke up 10 minutes ago and I just turned on my camera so you could see what my face looks like when I wake up in the morning. The first step, I'm gonna do is just run through my skincare and then I will stop and mention the new products that I would be using. Gonna wash my face. The new cleanser that I'm using right now is Perfect Whip.

I think it's from Shiseido brand. Senka. S-E-N. K-A Having good skin, we want to prevent wrinkles, so I don't...

Go like that. You just kind of massage it into my skin. Almost out, as you can see. It's probably like my hundredth one.

Jeju. What does it say? Jeju Sparkling Water Deep Peeling Pad. I use this in the morning and at night. Might be a little too harsh on some people, but for me, it's okay I...

My skin can handle it, but this has really Like, whenever I use this, I can automatically see my face. It's just like new skin. I'm gonna use my SK II Facial Treatment Essence. My uh...

Clarins double serum, this is a new one. And then for moisturizer, I only use Elizabeth Arden visual... Visible Difference Refining Moisture Cream Complex. Found that a little goes a long way with this cream.

This product right here is just so amazing. This is the Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream. A lot of flight attendants use this product on flight because it's really dry in the plane. Just gonna use a little bit and put it on my lips.

You put this on before you go to sleep, you wake up with buttery smooth lips. For this glass skin look, we want something that's very radiant and glowing. This is just like a strobing primer. We're just gonna use like the tiniest amount.

I'm gonna show you how little I put. It's not even a full pump... Like that much. It's good tho.

Make sure that the brush is like lightly coated. When you start distributing the foundation, you want to start off in this area right here. And as you blend it, you bring it up closer to the center of your face. Whatever you have left on your brush that's what you want to use around your nose.

Once the base of your skin looks too cakey, nothing about your makeup looks natural. The key point of this look is the skin. So you want to really focus and take your time when you're applying this. So you can use a Beauty Blender or one of these like little puffs.

Pat it all the way in so that it's very seamless. I'm gonna use like a small concealer brush, like this. So as you can see, I'm just really packing the product inside the brush. Wiping it off on my hand.

Just making sure that the brush is fully packed with product. In with this crease paint pot. Just to lighten it up, I'm just going to use like the tiniest amount. Do you see the difference? Big difference, right? I look a lot less tired, right? Key for eyebrows, stroke in the direction that your eyebrow hairs grow.

Spoolie. Big brows... Will give you a very nice natural look..

How I Got Rid of Acne Scars & Hyperpigmentation with Korean Skincare

How I Got Rid of Acne Scars & Hyperpigmentation with Korean Skincare

ACNE Five ingredients
to treat acne Hi, everyone! Welcome back to my channel. And in today's video, I will be sharing with you guys How I got rid of acne,
acne scars, as well as hyperpigmentation. Before & After Beginning of 2017 Jan. 2018 Still get hormonal
breakouts on the chin My acne journey
has been a long one.

But in 2017, I slowly but surely saw results using the products
that I used. And I did a video
similar to this in the beginning of last year where I shared with you guys "Korean Skincare Essentials
for ACNE." But today,
I wanted to talk about the top five ingredients
that helped prevent acne, as well as fade the acne scars. So, I thought
it would be helpful because I know how hard it is
to struggle with acne. I really didn't wanna walk
out of the house even though I had foundation on because I was so insecure
about the bumps.

But now, because I did take
really good care of the skin, I wanted to share
what worked for me, so let's get started. First, I want to talk about
AHA and BHAs. And if you follow up
with Korean skincare, you probably heard of the two because they were so
popular last year. AHAs are found
in a lot of exfoliants.

They basically help break down
the dead skin cells on the top layer of your skin. While BHA,
they go into the pores and help within the skin. Every day, I start with the COSRX Low pH
Good Morning Cleanser. And this is formulated
with tea tree, which is also great for acne, and natural BHA.

Some BHA products can be harsh
on the skin, but this is one of my favorites
because it is so gentle. And the product
is under 10 dollars. So, I use this BHA, gentle BHA product,
every morning, and sometimes at night
after my oil cleanser because I just love
this gel cleanser so, so much. And for AHA, I usually switch off
between the COSRX Moisture Pads as well as
the NEOGEN Gauze Peels.

A lot of people think
that these two are very similar, but they're actually
very different products. The COSRX Moisture Pad,
you can use it as a toner and you don't have
to wash it off. But for the NEOGEN Gauze Peels, after you use it, you have to
wash it off with lukewarm water. Cica cream? I'm using it right now.

This is like
the NEOGEN Gauze Peel, but you don't wash it off. It's like a toner, moisturizer,
all mixed in one. You're supposed to
wash the pad off? - The Gauze Peel? Yeah.
- Yeah, the Gauze Peel. Use the rough side.

Flip it over. Soft side. And then you wash it off
with lukewarm water. Well, I've been using it wrong.

Oh, well now you gotta...
Now, you know. You'll notice the difference. Both are gentle exfoliants
that I would recommend. But if I have to choose
between the two, I would go for
the NEOGEN Gauze Peels.

These are just so innovative
and fun to use. I know a lot
of people don't like them because they have this really
sweet and strong scent, but I personally love it. You basically use
the rougher side to exfoliate, and then flip it over
to smooth everything out. And don't forget to wash it off
with lukewarm water.

Because AHA has the tendency
to thin out your top layer, make sure you are generous
with the sunscreen whenever you use this
in the morning. But I use this for
my nighttime skincare routine, and I only use it twice a week because even though
it is a gentle exfoliator, I'd rather not exfoliate
every single day. So, I really, really love
this product. I almost forgot to mention
that this comes in wine, lemon, and green tea.

All three of those are packed
with antioxidants, which... You should know
that they're great for acne, acne scars,
and the health of your skin. The next ingredient
that I wanna talk about is centella asiatica, and this was also under
the K-Beauty Spotlight because it is high
in antioxidant and has anti-inflammatory
properties. So, so many brands came out
with lots of new products with the key ingredient
being centella asiatica.

But I will only share
my top three. So first, I have the Klairs
Supple Preparation Facial Toner. This is a hydrating toner
that balances pH level and ingredients such
as centella extract, which helped calm my skin. And because I have dry
and acne-prone skin, this was a holy grail
product for me because it did...

It treated
both of my skincare concerns. Be generous with this product. Be generous with this product. I noticed a big difference
whenever I layered it.

I noticed a big difference
whenever I layered it. The next product I have is the Very Mom
Seed Ceramide Mask Sheet. This is formulated with
hydrating ingredients. But because centella extract is on the top
of the ingredient list, I wake up to a brighter
and more even complexion.

So this is my go-to sheet mask, especially when I want to film
the next morning and I want my skin
to look a lot healthier. And this ranks at number one in my sheet mask list. The final centella
product I have is the Troiareuke
Acsen Recovery Cream. And this is actually the product that introduced me
to this ingredient.

And I really like this because it has
the highest concentration, along with other
special ingredients such as calendula
and salicylic acid. It is the most expensive
out of the list that I'm sharing
with you guys today. But it did introduce me
to the world of centella and it really did help
fade my acne scars. And according to other
reviewers out there, it also with pitted acne scars.

So, if you have
pitted acne scars or want to help treat your skin, I really do want
to recommend it. Because I have dry
and acne-prone skin, I try my best to look
for products that will help treat both. And snail mucin is
a great ingredient for that. If you're curious about
where snail mucin comes from and the benefits of it, I'll try my best to link
the best article possible in the description box so that you guys can
read more about it.

But my go-to snail product is the COSRX Advanced Snail
96 Mucin Power Essence. This is formulated
with 96 percent snail mucin, so you know you're not
paying for other ingredients. And I actually noticed an immediate result
the next morning. Because my skin was glowing,
it looks so much healthier.

And I did notice that my acne scars
did fade a little bit. So, slowly but surely,
this product does work. But I do wanna put it out there that my brother actually
doesn't like this product. And that says a lot 'cause my
brother is very loyal to COSRX.

BHA Blackhead Power Liquid. What to say? What to say? Honestly, it's just better
than any Up & Up product I used to use
before coming to Korea. That's all I gotta say. Next question.

But I know for a fact that my brother and I have
different preferences with skincare products because he has oily,
acne-prone skin, and I have dry, acne-prone skin. So, if you have dry skin and have breakouts here
and there, or scars that you wanna treat, I do recommend
using this product. The final ingredient that
I wanna talk about is vitamin C. And vitamin C helps
with acne scars, as well as sun damage.

And I usually go back and forth with the snail mucin,
as well as my vitamin serums. I don't use both together because, I mean,
I actually haven't tried it. But, I don't know, something about layering
two very highly-concentrated, like, vitamin C,
as well as snail mucin, I just don't know
what the result will be. Anyway, the morning after I used
vitamin C for the first time, I noticed an immediate result.

My skin was glowing, kinda like how
the snail had an effect on brightening up
my skin tone and fading scars. Vitamin C was very similar. And this is actually the very first vitamin C drop
that I tried. This is the Klairs one.

I've done a dedicated review
for the vitamic C drops, so if you haven't watched,
you can click up there. But the main difference
between the two is that there's five percent vitamin C. And 20.5 Percent vitamin C
in this one. So, depending on how much
vitamin C drop you want, you can choose between the two.

I do wanna say that this is
a bit more high-maintenance because you do have
to keep this in a cool and dark, like,
refrigerated area because you want to make sure that the vitamin C
is highly concentrated and it doesn't oxidize. But both are my favorite when it comes
to vitamin C products. And if you feel like
it's too strong on the skin, I recommend that you mix it in
with your moisturizer, so that your skin will slowly
get used to the vitamin C. So these are
my top recommendations for acne and acne scarring.

I hope that
this video was helpful. A lot of these products
should not be a surprise though because I did include them
in a lot of my reviews, empties, as well as my morning
and nighttime routine videos. So yeah, I thought
it would be helpful to put all of these products
into one video. Because in 2017, these products
really helped out.

So, if you are interested
in trying any of these products, I'll make sure
to link everything in the description box
as always. And please give this video
a thumbs-up if you found it helpful. And comment down below
which products worked for you. And share your reviews because everybody does
have different skin types.

And it might be helpful
for people who are venturing out
into the Korean skincare and they want more reviews
than just mine. So, let's make the comment
section a helpful one. And yeah, I'll see you guys
in my next one. Bye! Thanks for watching! Click here for more @JOANKEEM.

Hannah Bronfman's Nighttime Skin Care RoutineGo To Bed With MeHarper's BAZAAR

I've been traveling nonstop for the last two
weeks, so I could really use some nighttime tea, cause I have no idea what time zone I'm in. So I love these wipes. They're perfect to travel with. They're organic and it's by a great brand.

I've been using their products for forever. They're a Canadian company. Sometimes in one week, I'm on maybe four planes,
but I'm excited, because this month, I'm on no planes. Next up, I'm going to use a cleanser by Dr.
Barbara Sturm.

This is great. It's made for girls with darker skin tones. I also love this because it's actually a powder
that activates once you add water to it and it's great to travel with, because it's not
a liquid. I also love this cleanser because it really
gets your mascara off, which I always find is so difficult.

Now I think I'm probably the only person who
dries their face with organic cotton pads, but towels just freak me out. Next up is my beloved P50. I think you should really talk to a skincare
professional before you opt for this intense product, but for me, it's great and is also
getting rid of my hyper pigmentation. There's a technique people.

It's lifting up and going all around the face. Okay and next up, I'm going to use a serum
that's just really good hyaluronic acid, a really great amount of moisture for your skin. I just find that as soon as I put it into
my skin, it just absorbs so nicely and my skin feels hydrated and firm, like literally
immediately. So this is a new product for me from Dr.

Dennis
Gross and this is a retinol brightening solution, so I will add this as my second little serum. I love this one because it really helps again
with the hyper pigmentation, but also with the retinol, it can just be really good to
keep breakouts at bay and you know that we're always trying to do that. So I love this eye cream from La Prairie. It's something that I keep in my vanity here
at home and I'm so excited to use it every time I come home.

This is the first time I'm showing anyone
how I put my eye cream on, but I do circles towards the inside part of my eye. And then I use a moisturizer. In Fiore is a brand that's more on the natural
side and it's great for anti-aging, so I use it at night. I love the way this smells.

It has a beautiful floral essence and it's
just very elegant. And I'm done. No day can be complete without giving the
people what they came for. Night guys!.
