How I Got Rid of Acne Scars & Hyperpigmentation with Korean Skincare

ACNE Five ingredients
to treat acne Hi, everyone! Welcome back to my channel. And in today's video, I will be sharing with you guys How I got rid of acne,
acne scars, as well as hyperpigmentation. Before & After Beginning of 2017 Jan. 2018 Still get hormonal
breakouts on the chin My acne journey
has been a long one.

But in 2017, I slowly but surely saw results using the products
that I used. And I did a video
similar to this in the beginning of last year where I shared with you guys "Korean Skincare Essentials
for ACNE." But today,
I wanted to talk about the top five ingredients
that helped prevent acne, as well as fade the acne scars. So, I thought
it would be helpful because I know how hard it is
to struggle with acne. I really didn't wanna walk
out of the house even though I had foundation on because I was so insecure
about the bumps.

But now, because I did take
really good care of the skin, I wanted to share
what worked for me, so let's get started. First, I want to talk about
AHA and BHAs. And if you follow up
with Korean skincare, you probably heard of the two because they were so
popular last year. AHAs are found
in a lot of exfoliants.

They basically help break down
the dead skin cells on the top layer of your skin. While BHA,
they go into the pores and help within the skin. Every day, I start with the COSRX Low pH
Good Morning Cleanser. And this is formulated
with tea tree, which is also great for acne, and natural BHA.

Some BHA products can be harsh
on the skin, but this is one of my favorites
because it is so gentle. And the product
is under 10 dollars. So, I use this BHA, gentle BHA product,
every morning, and sometimes at night
after my oil cleanser because I just love
this gel cleanser so, so much. And for AHA, I usually switch off
between the COSRX Moisture Pads as well as
the NEOGEN Gauze Peels.

A lot of people think
that these two are very similar, but they're actually
very different products. The COSRX Moisture Pad,
you can use it as a toner and you don't have
to wash it off. But for the NEOGEN Gauze Peels, after you use it, you have to
wash it off with lukewarm water. Cica cream? I'm using it right now.

This is like
the NEOGEN Gauze Peel, but you don't wash it off. It's like a toner, moisturizer,
all mixed in one. You're supposed to
wash the pad off? - The Gauze Peel? Yeah.
- Yeah, the Gauze Peel. Use the rough side.

Flip it over. Soft side. And then you wash it off
with lukewarm water. Well, I've been using it wrong.

Oh, well now you gotta...
Now, you know. You'll notice the difference. Both are gentle exfoliants
that I would recommend. But if I have to choose
between the two, I would go for
the NEOGEN Gauze Peels.

These are just so innovative
and fun to use. I know a lot
of people don't like them because they have this really
sweet and strong scent, but I personally love it. You basically use
the rougher side to exfoliate, and then flip it over
to smooth everything out. And don't forget to wash it off
with lukewarm water.

Because AHA has the tendency
to thin out your top layer, make sure you are generous
with the sunscreen whenever you use this
in the morning. But I use this for
my nighttime skincare routine, and I only use it twice a week because even though
it is a gentle exfoliator, I'd rather not exfoliate
every single day. So, I really, really love
this product. I almost forgot to mention
that this comes in wine, lemon, and green tea.

All three of those are packed
with antioxidants, which... You should know
that they're great for acne, acne scars,
and the health of your skin. The next ingredient
that I wanna talk about is centella asiatica, and this was also under
the K-Beauty Spotlight because it is high
in antioxidant and has anti-inflammatory
properties. So, so many brands came out
with lots of new products with the key ingredient
being centella asiatica.

But I will only share
my top three. So first, I have the Klairs
Supple Preparation Facial Toner. This is a hydrating toner
that balances pH level and ingredients such
as centella extract, which helped calm my skin. And because I have dry
and acne-prone skin, this was a holy grail
product for me because it did...

It treated
both of my skincare concerns. Be generous with this product. Be generous with this product. I noticed a big difference
whenever I layered it.

I noticed a big difference
whenever I layered it. The next product I have is the Very Mom
Seed Ceramide Mask Sheet. This is formulated with
hydrating ingredients. But because centella extract is on the top
of the ingredient list, I wake up to a brighter
and more even complexion.

So this is my go-to sheet mask, especially when I want to film
the next morning and I want my skin
to look a lot healthier. And this ranks at number one in my sheet mask list. The final centella
product I have is the Troiareuke
Acsen Recovery Cream. And this is actually the product that introduced me
to this ingredient.

And I really like this because it has
the highest concentration, along with other
special ingredients such as calendula
and salicylic acid. It is the most expensive
out of the list that I'm sharing
with you guys today. But it did introduce me
to the world of centella and it really did help
fade my acne scars. And according to other
reviewers out there, it also with pitted acne scars.

So, if you have
pitted acne scars or want to help treat your skin, I really do want
to recommend it. Because I have dry
and acne-prone skin, I try my best to look
for products that will help treat both. And snail mucin is
a great ingredient for that. If you're curious about
where snail mucin comes from and the benefits of it, I'll try my best to link
the best article possible in the description box so that you guys can
read more about it.

But my go-to snail product is the COSRX Advanced Snail
96 Mucin Power Essence. This is formulated
with 96 percent snail mucin, so you know you're not
paying for other ingredients. And I actually noticed an immediate result
the next morning. Because my skin was glowing,
it looks so much healthier.

And I did notice that my acne scars
did fade a little bit. So, slowly but surely,
this product does work. But I do wanna put it out there that my brother actually
doesn't like this product. And that says a lot 'cause my
brother is very loyal to COSRX.

BHA Blackhead Power Liquid. What to say? What to say? Honestly, it's just better
than any Up & Up product I used to use
before coming to Korea. That's all I gotta say. Next question.

But I know for a fact that my brother and I have
different preferences with skincare products because he has oily,
acne-prone skin, and I have dry, acne-prone skin. So, if you have dry skin and have breakouts here
and there, or scars that you wanna treat, I do recommend
using this product. The final ingredient that
I wanna talk about is vitamin C. And vitamin C helps
with acne scars, as well as sun damage.

And I usually go back and forth with the snail mucin,
as well as my vitamin serums. I don't use both together because, I mean,
I actually haven't tried it. But, I don't know, something about layering
two very highly-concentrated, like, vitamin C,
as well as snail mucin, I just don't know
what the result will be. Anyway, the morning after I used
vitamin C for the first time, I noticed an immediate result.

My skin was glowing, kinda like how
the snail had an effect on brightening up
my skin tone and fading scars. Vitamin C was very similar. And this is actually the very first vitamin C drop
that I tried. This is the Klairs one.

I've done a dedicated review
for the vitamic C drops, so if you haven't watched,
you can click up there. But the main difference
between the two is that there's five percent vitamin C. And 20.5 Percent vitamin C
in this one. So, depending on how much
vitamin C drop you want, you can choose between the two.

I do wanna say that this is
a bit more high-maintenance because you do have
to keep this in a cool and dark, like,
refrigerated area because you want to make sure that the vitamin C
is highly concentrated and it doesn't oxidize. But both are my favorite when it comes
to vitamin C products. And if you feel like
it's too strong on the skin, I recommend that you mix it in
with your moisturizer, so that your skin will slowly
get used to the vitamin C. So these are
my top recommendations for acne and acne scarring.

I hope that
this video was helpful. A lot of these products
should not be a surprise though because I did include them
in a lot of my reviews, empties, as well as my morning
and nighttime routine videos. So yeah, I thought
it would be helpful to put all of these products
into one video. Because in 2017, these products
really helped out.

So, if you are interested
in trying any of these products, I'll make sure
to link everything in the description box
as always. And please give this video
a thumbs-up if you found it helpful. And comment down below
which products worked for you. And share your reviews because everybody does
have different skin types.

And it might be helpful
for people who are venturing out
into the Korean skincare and they want more reviews
than just mine. So, let's make the comment
section a helpful one. And yeah, I'll see you guys
in my next one. Bye! Thanks for watching! Click here for more @JOANKEEM.

Hannah Bronfman's Nighttime Skin Care RoutineGo To Bed With MeHarper's BAZAAR

Hannah Bronfman's Nighttime Skin Care RoutineGo To Bed With MeHarper's BAZAAR

I've been traveling nonstop for the last two
weeks, so I could really use some nighttime tea, cause I have no idea what time zone I'm in. So I love these wipes. They're perfect to travel with. They're organic and it's by a great brand.

I've been using their products for forever. They're a Canadian company. Sometimes in one week, I'm on maybe four planes,
but I'm excited, because this month, I'm on no planes. Next up, I'm going to use a cleanser by Dr.
Barbara Sturm.

This is great. It's made for girls with darker skin tones. I also love this because it's actually a powder
that activates once you add water to it and it's great to travel with, because it's not
a liquid. I also love this cleanser because it really
gets your mascara off, which I always find is so difficult.

Now I think I'm probably the only person who
dries their face with organic cotton pads, but towels just freak me out. Next up is my beloved P50. I think you should really talk to a skincare
professional before you opt for this intense product, but for me, it's great and is also
getting rid of my hyper pigmentation. There's a technique people.

It's lifting up and going all around the face. Okay and next up, I'm going to use a serum
that's just really good hyaluronic acid, a really great amount of moisture for your skin. I just find that as soon as I put it into
my skin, it just absorbs so nicely and my skin feels hydrated and firm, like literally
immediately. So this is a new product for me from Dr.

Dennis
Gross and this is a retinol brightening solution, so I will add this as my second little serum. I love this one because it really helps again
with the hyper pigmentation, but also with the retinol, it can just be really good to
keep breakouts at bay and you know that we're always trying to do that. So I love this eye cream from La Prairie. It's something that I keep in my vanity here
at home and I'm so excited to use it every time I come home.

This is the first time I'm showing anyone
how I put my eye cream on, but I do circles towards the inside part of my eye. And then I use a moisturizer. In Fiore is a brand that's more on the natural
side and it's great for anti-aging, so I use it at night. I love the way this smells.

It has a beautiful floral essence and it's
just very elegant. And I'm done. No day can be complete without giving the
people what they came for. Night guys!.

Get Unready With Me 10 Step Korean Skincare RoutineNighttime

Hi everyone! My name is Joan; Today, Ill be sharing my Updated Nightime Skincare Routine. Before getting started, I just want to let you know that I have dry and acne prone skin. I always start off by removing my eye makeup. Ive been using the Leaders Green Tea Lip & Eye Point remover.

These are convenient wipes that gently remove all your point makeup. Next, I use the oil cut cleansing from Troiareuke. This is a great cleanser for anyone who doesnt want to double cleanse because this water based cleanser removes it ALL. I  pour a quarter size amount and massage it onto my face.

After that, I wet my hands and massage my face once again and THEN I wash it off. To exfoliate, I like to use the Negoen gauze peel twice a week. This is one of my favorite ways to exfoliate because its gentle and smells wonderful. You can also check if your cleanser is doing its job because sometimes, foundation gets onto these pads but as you can see, the oil cut cleansing did a great job.

Then I wash it off with lukewarm water Afterwards, I pat my face dry instead of using a towel. The current new trend in Korea is layering essence toners to maximise skin hydration. At night, I start with the ACSEN TOC Toner. ACSEN stands for ACne SENsitive and this is SUCH a gentle product that treats acne and helps with the TOC (which stands for Turn over cycle).

After this, I move on to the Troiareuke Skin Complex formula. The blue is good for acne, green is good for sensitive skin, and yellow for brightening. Depending on the day, I choose the color OR sometimes, I like to mix and match. I spray the product onto my hands and pat it onto my skin 5 times.

I love how this step reduces redness and makes my skin feel super hydrated. Moving on to eye cream. The innisfree orchid one is my favorite because its moisturizing and helps prevent future wrinkles. I like to gently apply this under my eyes and my smile lines ACSEN Recovery Cream is probably my favorite spot treatment.

It may be pricey, but I saw GREAT results with this. Not only does this help out with acne scars, but it also heals the pitted scars as well. I follow up with another ACSEN product The Selemix Serum helps calm my skin and minimizes the scars. The special ingredients are all plant based which helps restore, recover, and moisturize the skin! 1 Pack a day is another Korean trend I like to incorporate in my skincare routine.

I always use different sheet masks, but here I used the cosrx holy moly snail mask. Great for acne scars and moisture I leave it on for about 15-20 minutes and apply the leftover essence on my neck To lock in all the goodness, I use a moisturizer. The troiareuke cell energy cream is one of my favorites. It's very light yet an excellent cream that provides moisture and nutrients because of the rich natural ingredients.

On my lips, I use the Lineage lip sleeping mask. This keeps my lips supple and preps it for tomorrows lipstick. And finally, we cant forget the cosrx acne patches. These stickers actually help calm down acne.

And that was my updated night time skincare routine! It may be excessive, but after a long day, I love treating myself. Ill be linking all the products in the description box if you are interested. And Ill see you all in my next video. Bye!.

Everyday Showering Tips For Moisturised SkinGlamrs Skin Care

Everyday Showering Tips For Moisturised SkinGlamrs Skin Care

Bathing is one of lifes simple pleasures and the benefits of bathing go beyond just cleansing the body. A perfect beauty regime begins the minute you step into the shower. Sure, youre bathing daily and have mastered the art of a quick shower but is this quick everyday routine actually good for your skin? Hi Im Shruti, and today Im going to let you in on some key products and helpful showering tips that you need to use and follow for a hydrated, beautiful and healthy body. While cleansing your skin is important, its equally essential to use mild, gentle and moisturising shower gels that will lessen skin dryness and keep it soft and smooth.

Our current favourite is the Nivea Creme Care Shower Gel that is very gentle on the skin and washes off the dirt while preserving the natural oils on the skins surface. You only need a small amount of the gel, so squeeze a dollop, work it into a rich lather and then gently rub it all over your body in circular motions, avoiding your face. A loofah helps spread the gel evenly so that you dont end up wasting the product while showering. Just a little goes a long way with this product.

Now here's a shower tip. Pay extra attention to your armpits, feet and toes as they are high density sweat gland areas and experience more sweat as compared to the rest of your body. We prefer using shower gels over soaps because soaps make the skin rough, dry and flaky by stripping off the natural oils from the surface of the skin. They are a breeding ground for bacteria as they accumulate dirt after being left open in the shower.

And they are unhygienic especially if youre sharing the bathroom with your family members and roommates! Shower gels also enhance the purifying and cleansing experience of your otherwise regular showers. The Nivea Creme Care Shower Gel for example is enriched with the properties of Nivea Creme which has soothing and moisturising ingredients that keeps your skin hydrated and leaves you looking fresh all day long. Now if you find that youre getting back acne or rashes be sure to wash your body including your back only after you have washed your hair. Save your face for last and rinse it with cool water to avoid dehydrating your facial skin as well.

A must, right before stepping out of the shower is to blast cold water on your hair and body. This will minimize the pores, tighten the skin and reduce dark circles as well. Vigorously rubbing your body with a towel can remove the oils and cause itchiness too. So, the best way to do this is by patting yourself dry with a towel.

But make sure that the towel is completely dry before patting dry your body since damp towels are a hotbed for bacteria and can cause acne and skin irritation. Use a fresh and dry napkin to dry your face. So bathing with the right products and following the right steps can effortlessly revitalise and restore your skin. I hope you found this video helpful, Im Shruti and until next time, stay tuned and stay Glamrs..

Evening Skincare Routine to Repair My Skin BarrierFall 2017

Evening Skincare Routine to Repair My Skin BarrierFall 2017

Hey everyone so today I'm showing you guys my evening skincare routine I've been focusing on restoring and repairing my skin very function and that means I'm avoiding using too many products Especially active and I'm also being careful at swapping products, too Often so my routine has been pretty simple Low-key and mostly fragrance free and my skin has been just loving this routine to start off I removed my makeup using "Tanoshii Oh yeah" natural cleansing oil." This is the cleansing oil that's been going crazy viral among Koreans at the moment and people have been praising this oil for dissolving their blackheads I personally don't struggle much with blackheads or any kind of pore issues. So I can't be the judge for that this cleansing oil is really lightweight, and it doesn't feel too oily or too greasy, and it washes off pretty well. Next, in the cleansing department, I'm using my own cleansing formulation. Tadaa~ It is a pH balanced gel cleanser that uses mild cleansing agents to take away all the stuff that your skin doesn't need while leaving, everything your skin exactly needs.

I designed it to respect the skin barrier, and it really leaves a crazy amount of hydration afterward. I just want to swim in this word relation. Before my skin completely dries down, I applied this corsx propolis light ampule. Which I'm about to empty very very soon and propose having naturally antibacterial antiviral Anti-inflammatory properties, and it is set to speed up the wound healing process.

Purposes this generally very very gentle and well tolerated to sensitive skin type, and it's supposed to help reduce redness as well, especially the redness that can be related to acne. The formulation of this product is very beautiful it has a light viscosity that absorbs pretty quickly and my skin has been just drinking this then I seal everything in with another favorite of mine, which is the Primera soothing sensitive cream. If you watched my skin barrier video you might have learned the Importance of building the lipid barrier and the three main components are Ceramides Cholesterol and free fatty acids, so if your barrier is compromised, the combinations of these ingredients can certainly help and there are quite numerous options out there that do contain this combination. However, a lot of them that I try they seem to be a little bit too crazy for my liking, but this cream has been amazing at this helping me fortify my moisture barrier, and it has a little to no irritation and it's fragrance free and I just love the simple and elegant formulation of this product my skin just feels a lot healthier these days after using this.

So that's my really really simple strip down to the basics kind of routine for every night. However, I will add treatment products depending on what my skin feels or in need that night. I don't do this everyday, but I normally exfoliate my skin with A.H.A, probably once to three times a week and Sunday Riley good jeans has been serving me pretty well. It is a lactic acid 5% treatment, which is perfectly mild concentration, and apparently there are stronger options out there.

But, 5% seems to be pretty good and this is what my skin likes and this product is definitely one of those products that are very worth the hype. Then, we have alchemy skin Cinco oil blend and this has been amazing at brightening my complexion and Rejuvenating my skin like no other options out there. It's a blend of oils that are rich in omega 3 & 6 and I probably use a drop of this, two to three times a week, I'll leave the link down below for the review that I've done on Instagram. I rarely use this item, but I use this as a spa treatment from time to time, so I thought I would just show you guys what I use.

This is The Ordinary as like acid 10% and, ever since my skin barrier has restored my acne seems to be managed as well. It can be a little bit strong at first, or stinging at first if you do have sensitive skin type, but it does work. So I recommend you guys to use it very very sparingly as a spa treatment. "Laneige lip sleeping mask", I was really skeptical about this product for the longest time and apparently this is the second best seller in Sephora, followed by the water sleeping mask and I was just really confused why people buy it because, I always thought like Why would I need a fancier lip balm when Vaseline can do its job? But this proved me completely wrong.

It, makes a massive difference by lip moisture content and it is a game changer for sure. Especially if you wear a lot of lip tints, matte lipsticks, or look at lipsticks that tend to just dry the crap out of your lips. This is going to be your best friend I guarantee you guys..

Decluttering My Skincare Products [Minimalism Week Day 6]

Decluttering My Skincare Products [Minimalism Week Day 6]

Hello, welcome back today. We are talking about skincare. If you've been told me for a while You'll know that last year and two patches on and off throughout the last Few years. I got really bad cystic acne This was due to me having Pcos, and it was just like one of the symptoms and because it was unmanaged I got those symptoms blah blah blah.

You know how it goes because my skin was out of control I was trying a lot of different products and just seeing what would work for me because obviously yes You do need to clean up on the inside that sometimes Topical treatments can help calm things down a little bit as well now I did used to have more than this I had already done one color on it previously when I moved from my last place to My current place, but now I'm just going through things again and I'm also going to get rid of stuff that I don't use and for some reason I know the stuff. That's almost empty There's like the tiniest bit in it or you know. It's just something. I don't use so I'll be getting rid of those kind of things don't forget to give it a thumbs up and let's get to decluttering Okay, first up.

We've got a skin tissue Cleanser Which was empty and I have replaced it with a new one actually now. We've got a dNa elements green tea face mask I didn't mind this one, but I don't use it enough So I'm just getting rid of it my gummy our skin active micellar water I use this all the time for taking off my makeup. So I'll be keeping that one I've got this horrible horrible epidural cream that my doctor prescribed me back when I had acne I tried it for about a week, and it made my skin feel awful. So saying goodbye to that Current favorite is the astral elixir facial oil I use this one before bed every night, and it has a little gemstone in the bottle which is so cute for keeping this on My skin stitute Multi active.

Myths. This is a pretty good facial toner mist, but it's empty so getting rid of that bottle I'm keeping the Erika Brooke honey cream cleanser. I love using this one in the morning I feel like it makes my skin very very soft, and I love to smelled it as well All right, so I've got a banished pumpkin enzyme mask I use this one if I feel my skin Suddenly get a little bit out of control usually around that time of the month. It's good for that For similar sort of problems as the miss skin honey apple mask It'll bring everything out of your skins really thick and it also smells really good, too My since issued Spf is empty, so I replaced it with a new one.

I've got the little alchemist facial spray I didn't see a huge difference with this so getting rid of that and The Miss Kim balanced facial elixir. I noticed no difference with my skin at all, so I'm not keeping this one either I've got my minimalist boutique skincare products or a cleansing oil Super serum, a Polishing powder and then also the perfecting elixir. I love all of the use these are staples in my cupboard, so I'm keeping down The Banish cleanser, I didn't really like this one some of the other products are good, but this one just wasn't for me So I won't be keeping this one my little alchemist Cacao Mask this is good, but the texture of might have got a bit weird I think some moisture got in so getting rid of that. I will be keeping a super green speacial Mask this makes my skin feel really refreshed when I do use it retinol serum is great If my skin is acting up a little bit, and I've got my even blend serum to reduce any pigmentation after a breakout My rejuvenate 15.

I always use this after I get my skin needling treatments tonnes Gross old cleansing oil which I'll be getting rid of this bottle and then also another current favourite my Mario Badescu facial spray So keeping that one My bathroom covered definitely feels a lot more organized after that and it's products that I would use on the regular nail Not stuff's just sitting in there just in case maybe I need it leave me a comment below What is the one room in your house that you find the most difficult to declutter? I'll catch you guys in the comments below and see you in my next video. Bye.
