Hello my beauties ! So I know that you guys may have learned a lot from my skincare series about the function and the purpose of each product in a beauty routine, and I understand that some of these products can be quite pricey to purchase, or you like to opt for something more natural. So today I'm gonna bring you an anti-aging skincare routine that you can do yourself at the comfort of your own home, with ingredients from your fridge. Did you know your skin is the largest organ of your body? We actually absorb 64% of things that we put on it as well as the particles in the air. There are other areas on the body that have a high absorption rate, so therefore what we put on our skin and the environment that we live in plays a major role.
So therefore, the foods that we eat that is good for our body will also be good for our skin. First we're going to start with cleansing the face you will need rice flour and unsweetened rice milk. Rice is often used in traditional Japanese skincare as it is enriched with vitamin E. And helps to gently exfoliate you can also use brown rice flour if you have it.
Add 1/4 cup of rice flour into an empty
bowl then add 2 to 3 tablespoons of rice milk you can use water if you don't have rice milk however rice milk is a better choice as it adds a hit of retinol building vitamin A and protective calcium. Mix until smooth and then massage this onto the face in a slow circular motion and then rinse off with warm water The second step after cleansing is to exfoliate. There is this apple chia honey scrub that sounds good enough to eat you will need green apple, honey and of course chia seeds First cut the apple in half. Chop one half in smaller pieces and you can eat the other half place the apple in a blender with two tablespoons of chia seeds and two tablespoons of honey blend until smooth and you may need to add some water.
Allow the mixture to sit for a little while then you can start applying this to your skin and scrub away. Green apples contain flavanoids, AHAs, and polyphenols that will help to brighten, soothe, and plump the skin. Not to mention chia seeds are loaded with antioxidants and is a superfood you should eat anyways. After rinsing the exfoliator off, it's time for the mask.
For this mask you'll need blueberries, raw almonds, whole oats and milk. Grab a blender place 1/4 cup of raw almonds, 1/4 cup of fresh blueberries approximately 2 tablespoons of whole oats and the milk and blend it into a paste. Once you take the mixture out you can add in some honey to thicken the texture but if you're happy with the consistency you can just leave it like that. You can either use a brush or a spoon and apply the mask directly to the face.
Blueberries are rich with antioxidants while almonds are packed with essential fatty acids, and vitamin E. Oats contain anti-inflammatory properties and milk helps to brighten the skin leave it on to dry for 20 minutes and you can gently massage in a circular motion and then rinse it off with warm water. Last but not least is a homemade oil which you can use on your body as well as any dry spots you may have on your face you'll need avocado oil, almond oil and coconut oil. All of which are great at battling dry skin especially in this cold winter weather.
Combin 1/4 tbsp of each of the oil and mix them well together. You can even bottle it for future uses as well apply this to any dry spots you have and it can even be an excellent massage oil oh and of course don't forget the lips. And that's it ! An anti-aging skin care routine with all natural products you can find in a kitchen ! So all of these ingredients are edible but make sure that you find out whether you're allergic to any of these ingredients before putting them on your skin. If anything that you put on is irritating your skin, wash it off immediately.
So that's it, remember guys be careful when handling knives and blenders at home. If you're underage please get someone to help you like your parents or your siblings.
